Megaforce - Triax Logo

Description

Is there really no DA fanart for this old line of Kenner war toys? I guess so by my findings. If you don’t know what I’m talking about, here’s the gist on Megaforce:

“The Mega Force toy line was produced by Kenner in 1989. Mega Force enjoyed moderate success but was cancelled after the 1st series. The entire line was based on war, specificaly between two countries or factions of Triax and the V-Rocs. These military vehicles were unlike any previous war toys with huge rolling fortress's & flying command centers. The toys have a realistic feasibility yet seem to have their origins based in anime or video games as side shooter boses!”

For the rest of the story and pictures see it’s entry in Alex Bickmore's SUPER TOY ARCHIVE: [link] I was a big fan of it back in the day. I choose the side of the Triax, I don’t remember why. I still have those toys with me to this day. If it weren’t for the current lack of a digital camera and them still being packed up from the move, I’d post some pictures of them up here on DA.

Anyway back to the artwork. This is the ‘formal’ logo for the Triax army. This version is what was used on mostly the packaging. The background is the typical jungle camo used on the most of the Triax army vehicles. I want to do the second version of the logo used mostly on the vehicles as well. I’d like to run that version though photoshop and make it look like its on an actual vehicle first. I’m also working on the logo for the V-Rocs army too.

Oh man, I know this is an older work at this point, but you have no idea how long I've been looking on and off for stuff about this toy line. I remember playing with them a ton when they came out, but the vehicles were such out-there designs that they seemed more like a fever dream after a day of soda, GI Joe, and Gradius. Great to see I didn't just imagine it.
